comments: Does anyone have problems with their buttonholes? Mine keep moving. we had a lot of trouble at first with the A access but the nurse finally got a good buttonhole built and then Sunday my husband couldn't get my needle in at all. We talked to my nurse Monday and she had us take the smaller 16gauge needle and run it with the 16 in the bottom and the 15 in the top so I could still go up to 400 for my blood flow. also my blood pressure goes very low if I don't take medication 1 hr before my treatment. But even with that it's better then in center. My transplant lasted 16 years so things have come a long way since my first experience.

    Hey Paula,

Good to see you signed up and I hope your treatments are progressing smoothly. A couple of things that have made my sticks 'easier' is having the tourniquet enough to get the access 'tight' (my understanding is you don't use a torurniquet on a graph) and using your index and middle finger to form a 'V' to help stabilize the access and keep it from rolling.

Sometimes I need to give my needles a little twisting back and forth before it goes in. Happens from time to time.
